Tara Zolfagharbik is a Senior at Middle Tennessee State University. She is currently majoring in Electronic Media Journalism and minoring in Speech and Theatre. Tara is a member of MT10 News and the host for MTSU’s cooking show “Snack Break”. After graduating, Tara plans to pursue her career as the on-air talent for entertainment or news. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, cooking, attending concerts, and enjoying everything Nashville has to offer!
I am Tyann Nelson, a junior at Middle Tennessee State University majoring in Electronic Media Journalism with minors in Speech and Theatre and Business Marketing. I am involved in the student news and radio station. Also, I am a writer for the student newspaper. After graduation I plan to further my education by enrolling into the masters program at MTSU. I plan to go as far as my PH D in Communications. My goal is to become an entertainment reporter, eventually have my own television show, and become the owner of a few businesses.
My name is Paige Escue and I am the Associate Producer on Monday nights here at MT10. I am currently in News 2 and plan to Graduate this May of 2013 with the high hopes of furthering my career in Broadcast Journalism. I am a member of Alpha Omicron Pi here on campus where I do fun-filled community service while building a strong sisterhood. I am actively involved with intramural sports here as well. On the side I work at LOFT in the Avenue. My secret obsessions are hairspray, candy, cartoons and my social media sites. I am a huge animal lover and I volunteer at PAWS here in Murfreesboro a few times a month. I also enjoy spending time with children and volunteer at underprivileged daycares in surrounding cities. I hope you all enjoy getting to know me and watch me progress throughout my time in this class.
I am Alexa Allen. I am a senior Electronic Media Communications major at Middle Tennessee State University. National Association of Black Journalist and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. are a few of the on campus activities I am currently involved with. News became appealing to me during my freshman year of high school where I was actively involved with our student run television station. While perusing a degree in EMJ I plan to better my abilities in reporting so that I can deliver news the best way possible.
My name is Brieanna Colyer. I am currently a senior at Middle Tennessee State University where I am studying Electronic Media Communications with a specialization in Journalism. I also have a minor in Speech and Theater. I graduate in May of 2012. I work for MT10- HD, a student run television station, where I work as the Thursday night producer. I am currently interning at 102.5 The Game ESPN Radio, a sports talk Nashville radio station. After graduation, I hope to earn a job with a television station as a news or sports anchor. I currently work for for a bridal store where I work as a wedding consultant. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, planning my wedding to marry my fiancé, and enjoying all the city of Nashville has to offer.
Hello, my name is Montee Lopez and I am writing for EMC Electronic News Reporting and Producing on behalf of Middle Tennessee State University. I co-host a radio show called "The Takeover" for 88.3 FM WMTS Murfreesboro, freelance write for Sidelines newspaper, as well as the producer of the upcoming show "iShadyTV". I'm currently the president of the National Association of Black Journalists on campus and I also am a reporter for MT10 HD I love news, I love reporting, I love entertainment!
Matt Hagen is a senior at Middle Tennessee State University majoring in electronic media journalism. Hagen’s minor is general music. He works as an intern for 102.5 The Game ESPN Radio Nashville. Hagen has worked as head writer, on-air talent and scoreboard editor for National Sports Entertainment News for MT10HD. He has also run the audio for MT10News. Hagen has worked for College Gameday for the Tennessee Volunteers versus Florida Gators football game as a runner for ESPN Radio. Hagen will be interning for WMTS 88.3 with the sports show “Sports Express”. He will be graduating in May after already receiving an Associate’s degree from Pellissippi State Community College in May of 2011. After graduating, Hagen plans to become a member of ESPN either in radio or television.
Kelsey Lebechuck was raised in Murfreesboro, TN and is now a junior at Middle Tennessee State University with a major in Electronic Media Journalism and a minor in Political Science.
After helping with a telethon her freshmen year of college, Kelsey fell in love with the environment and knew she wanted to pursue broadcasting as a career. Ever since, she has been devoted to anything news related, especially the on campus news station, MT10, where she has held the producer position for the last two semesters. She aspires to become a producer or reporter for her future career.
She’s an active member in Alpha Delta Pi Sorority on campus, and holds a leadership position in the organization. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering through the sorority’s philanthropy, reading, traveling, shopping, spending time with her family, and especially, hanging out with her dad in the garage.
